Members of the community who want to know more about MidCoast Council or talk about local issues can drop into their new ‘Talk About’ mobile service operating from Stockland Forster and Taree Central in the coming weeks.

The ‘Talk About’ mobile service will be in Stockland Forster Shopping Centre on Thursday 28 November and in Taree Central Shopping Centre on Wednesday 4 December.

Customers will be able to get information, pay a bill by EFTPOS, and talk to Council about local issues.

“This is an opportunity for the community to ask questions and find out more about what we are doing in the community without having to go out of their way to come to one of our customer service points,” Council’s Director of Liveable Communities, Paul De Szell, explained.

“We know the community always has questions about our projects and services and this is a convenient way for them to get information.”

Mr De Szell said the service will also focus on showing community members how to use Council’s new report and request system, which allows them to log issues online 24 hours a day and get a tracking number to monitor the progress of their report or request.

While the initial ‘Talk About’ mobile service points will be trialled in Forster and Taree, it is intended to expand the visits to other centres during 2025.
