Taree Library will once again be transformed into an after-hours live music venue, as popular youth music event Live n Loud stages its latest gig on Friday 6 July.

Whether music is your thing, or you’re looking to celebrate the end of school term with your friends, don’t miss the next instalment of Live n Loud at the Library. Again featuring some of the region’s most talented young musicians, the upcoming gig is guaranteed to be a great night of entertainment.

“Live n Loud is a local event that’s been running for over a decade” explained Russell Ingram, MidCoast Council’s Community Strengthening Officer, Youth. “While it has evolved and grown over the years, it continues to be a crowd favourite for local young people, not only as a premium live music event, but by providing valuable experience for local youth in event management and stage performance”.

Every detail of the event is planned and implemented by members of the Manning Youth Action Team (MYAT), including the line-up of artists on the night. “It’s a safe and supportive place for performers to develop confidence, practice their craft and build a stage presence”, Russell added.

Live n Loud events are a quarterly fixture on the local calendar, and have over the years featured artists such as Sweet Nothin’, Zenith, and SOAR. Headline acts for this latest Live n Loud include Luca Saunders, Keegan Gibson, Hudson Rose and more. For budding artists, the event will feature an Open Mic segment – places are limited and sign-up will take place on the night.

“It’s incredible to see the breadth of talent from teenagers in our region, and the way the event has evolved into a professionally organised night of entertainment”, Russell said.

Music-lovers of all ages are invited to come along, and for a gold coin donation, enjoy some great music and soak up the atmosphere as Taree library is transformed from 6pm to 9pm into a unique live entertainment venue, Friday 6 July.

Live n Loud is a supervised, drug and alcohol free event, made possible through the support of the NSW Government’s Indent program, part of Music NSW.
