New Year’s Eve Fireworks in both Forster-Tuncurry and Taree will go ahead as usual this year but with a difference.
In Forster-Tuncurry, the iconic and much-loved New Year’s Eve celebration will be presented by Club Forster Sporties Tuncurry, featuring a fantastic fireworks display over Wallis Lake at 9pm.
The Club Forster Sporties Tuncurry New Year’s Eve Fireworks will be released from a barge south of the bridge. Exclusion zones will be in place on the water for people viewing the spectacle from boats.
Several road closures will also be in place between 8pm and 9.30pm for the safety of residents and visitors. These include;
In Taree, the New Year’s Eve event will be run by The Combined Service Clubs of Taree which includes Rotary, Lions and Quota.
Fireworks on the Foreshore will kick off from 5pm at Queen Elizabeth Park with stalls and music on the Riverstage between 6pm and 9pm, with the main attraction - the fireworks, starting at 9pm.
Join with family and friends, bring a picnic rug and claim your vantage point to ring in the new year.
