Award winning author visits MidCoast Libraries

Bill “Swampy” Marsh, award-winning songwriter, storyteller and playwright, will be talking about his life and work at MidCoast Libraries in July.

 Bill has spent decades collecting stories of life in the outback and is known for his colourful and insightful depictions of traditional Australian life through his stories, songs and plays. Some of his books include Great Australian Outback Teaching Stories, Great Australian Outback Police and Great Australian Droving Stories.

 “These events provide a great opportunity for the local community to meet this talented author and hear him talk about his books, tell some amazing stories, and answer their questions” says Council's Library Events Officer, Danielle Donnelly. 

 Bill will be making an appearance at Harrington Library on Monday 3 July at 1.30pm; Wingham Library Wednesday 5 July at 11am; Taree Library Thursday 6 July at 6pm and Forster Library Friday 7 July at 2pm.
