Digby Wilson grew up on the South Coast and spent 30 years in metropolitan life before returning to the country. He and his partner built their home in Taree as owner-builders after buying in 2016. Digby has a strong background in community engagement, volunteering with the RFS, SES, Community Radio, St Vincent de Paul, the Royal Children’s Hospital, and as captain of a sporting club. Currently, he volunteers at the St Vincent de Paul Taree Conference.

Digby is dedicated to making a positive impact on people's lives and public policy. His values—accountability, integrity, respect, diversity, and teamwork—drive him to contribute and coordinate for the best outcomes, fostering trust, understanding, engagement, and progress.

Starting his career as a blue-collar apprentice, he built a career on leadership, operational excellence, and serving both customers and the community. From the RFS to St Vincent de Paul and local sporting clubs, Digby always prioritises community and people first.

Career Highlights:

  • Regional General Manager, Telstra: Led 650 technicians and a contractor base of 1000, Chair of Emergency Councils in NSW, ACT, Vic & Tas.
  • Head of National Field Operations, Optus: Looking after 300 technicians.
  • General Manager of Customer Provisioning, Optus: Delivered services for business.
