Stroud Cemetery is a pleasant country cemetery.  3.58 Ha in size, it is generally level with medium natural eucalyptus tree cover.

Stroud Columbarium Wall Memorial 

This is for the placement of ashes into a wall setting. Ashes are interred into the niche receptacle and a memorial plaque is placed securely over the niche. Plaques are available in a range of materials, contact us for a quote. Memorial plaques can also be placed, in instances where the ashes have been interred or scattered elsewhere.

Stroud Memorial Ashes Gardens 

The gardens were dedicated in June 2000 and have a magnificent bronze feature plaque (donated by a local family) as their centrepiece.

The Ashes Gardens have a peaceful atmosphere and allow for the placement of ashes into a garden setting. Ashes are interred into the allotment and a memorial plaque is securely placed above the ashes at ground level. Plaques are available in granite or bronze, contact us for a quote.

General (Monumental)

The General Section of the cemetery caters for traditional style burials and monuments. Only single depth burials are permitted in Great Lakes Council cemeteries. Ashes are permitted to be interred into burial plots.

There are several denominational areas available. These areas comprise:

  • Baptist
  • Catholic
  • Church of England
  • Presbyterian
  • Uniting (formerly Methodist)

Monuments are arranged by individual applicants and are not included in Council's services. Contact should be made with a Monumental Stonemason.
