Lone Pine Memorial Park

The lakeside playground atLone Pine Memorial Park

This park was renamed in 2013 after extensive work undertaken by the local RSL.

The war memorial was redeveloped and new informative signage was installed depicting the battle of Lone Pine and the seven Victoria Cross recipients for that battle. A pine tree has also been planted which came from a cutting off the original lone pine in Gallipoli.

Great Lakes Rotary Club built a picnic shelter which offers picnic settings and a BBQ and the park also provides a children's playground and activity area for children of all ages.

The park includes  a pedestrian walkway that goes under the Forster Tuncurry Bridge that allows access to John Wright Park and beyond.
