Falls and falls-related injuries are common. Around one-third of people over 65 fall at least once a year.

 

There are some simple things that reduce your risk of having a fall such as exercise and making simple modifications in your home.

 

Physiotherapist Aaron Bailey, from Active Balance Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapist, Thomas Malpass from Home Solutions Occupational Therapy will share practical information on:
• Why do people fall and what are the risk factors?
• How do we prevent them?
• Why is physical activity important and how can I improve my exercise habits?
• How to make your home safer and more functional to maintain an independent lifestyle and reduce your risk of falling.
