Peter was first elected to Council in 2021 and was re-elected in 2024 for a second term. During his first term as a Councillor, Peter served on the Community Donations and Event Sponsorship Assessment Panels and was part of the Destination Management Plan Review Reference Group. Peter has also recently been appointed to the Asset Advisory Committee.
Peter stood for Council to serve the community that has generously supported his family over many decades. Peter is passionate about tourism and economic development being the prime drivers in making the MidCoast Council area a vibrant and desirable place to live and raise a family, while balancing such development against the beauty of our natural environment.
Born and raised in the Manning before moving to the Great Lakes region in 1999, Peter is a lifelong local and his family are the owner-operators of Fay’s Twin Cinema in Taree and Great Lakes Cinema 3 at Tuncurry. In his spare time, Peter enjoys watching basketball and motorsport and collecting vintage arcade games for restoration.
He is married to Jaire, and they have a blended family of four adult-aged children, three cats, and a dog.
