NSW Youth Week

Youth Week is an annual event held in April of each year with free activities and events for people 12 – 24, right across the MidCoast.

This year, the youth week theme is about:

  • celebrating every young person’s unique strengths
  • recognising young people’s individual and collective power as our current and future influencers, leaders and decision-makers.

Circus Skills with Cicartus – Learn unreal tricks, juggling, balance, and more in this high-energy workshop that’ll have you moving, laughing, and mastering the art of the circus!

Search for a Song with Scotty & Matty – Join local music legends as they guide you through the magic of songwriting, from crafting catchy hooks to heartfelt lyrics, helping you turn your ideas into music!

Performance Skills with Stagemites - Build stage confidence and have a blast with dynamic coach Corrie O’Brien, as you dive into fun, interactive activities designed to help you shine!

 Freestyle Gymnastics with the PCYC Team – FreeG (Freestyle Gymnastics) is a high-energy mix of parkour, tricking and flipping, where you’ll race through obstacle courses like a real-life Ninja Warrior and put your speed and agility to the test in epic time trials!

Jack The Bread Guy & Saints Care – Join local rising star Jack The Bread Guy as he dives into his experiences with songwriting, composition and performance. Gaining insider tips on gig etiquette, musicianship and navigating the local music scene like a pro! Jack will be supported by Saints Care, who will talk about their new music programs, Street Tunes.

Totem presents: FREE Community Skate Workshops & JAM | 9am - 3pm | Tuncurry Skate Park

Join us for an exciting Skate Workshop & Jam at Tuncurry Skatepark! Open to all skill levels—whether you're just starting out or a seasoned skater, there's something for everyone.

Enjoy a free BBQ provided by Homebase Forster and Forster Neighbourhood Centre. Bring your board (or borrow one of ours), bring your friends, and make a day of it!

Youth Week events in Tea Gardens are held as part of RiverFest 2025 Sunday 13 April | 10am - 3pm | Tea Gardens riverfront, Marine Drive

Living Strong presents: Nature Art work shop | 12 - 2pm During this workshop, join Living Strong Nature Journaling to create a nature inspired artwork. Learn basic sketch and drafting techniques to rough out your artwork before using different mediums to create your masterpiece. This is a beginner-friendly art class offering a fun and welcoming opportunity for youth to express their creativity. This workshop provides a fun, relaxed space for youth to express themselves, connect with like-minded young creatives and create a unique artwork to take home. Register here.
