NAIDOC Week Funding Application

Funding of up to $4,000 is available for whole-of-community events which are planned and run by a NAIDOC Planning Committee.

Applications open Monday 3 February and close on Sunday 2 March 2025. 

In order to apply, organisations and events must meet the following criteria:

  • The applicant must be an Aboriginal incorporated, not-for-profit organisation
  • The event must be targeted at and include the broader community
  • The event must be run within the MidCoast Council Local Government Area boundary
  • The event must be planned and organised by a NAIDOC Planning Committee
  • The Planning Committee must meet with Council two months prior to the event to review approvals required. If a road closure is required, the committee must meet with Council three months prior to the event. 
  • The applicant must be able to provide a Certificate of Currency for public liability insurance
  • The application must include a comprehensive and realistic budget that includes the costs of all Council services (waste management, application fees, etc)
