Access a subsidy to deliver creative learning opportunities to your students in a fun and immersive way, thanks to our program sponsor, Coastline Community Foundation.

  • Tailor your excursion to align with your curriculum and the interests of participants.
  • Claim up to $800 per excursion depending on travel distance:
    • Under 100km round trip – subsidy up to $300 per excursion
    • More than 100km round trip – subsidy up to $800 per excursion
  • A maximum of two subsidies per educational institution applies per calendar year.

MidCoast Council Libraries tour, join and borrow.

  • The library tour can be tailored for different age groups.
  • For preschool and lower primary age groups we can offer an early literacy program as part of the visit.
  • Choose a location – Taree or Forster
  • Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm

Booking process

Step 1.Book

Download the form above to customise your excursion. You may select more than one experience so long as timings allow on the day. For example, you may see a show at the MEC in the morning, and visit the Library afterwards.

 

Step 2.Approval

We will contact you to confirm your excursion and the subsidy zone selected on your application

 

Step 3.Invoicing

Please send an invoice to MidCoast Council for the bus travel component – please include a copy of the quote from your bus company.

Step 4.Final numbers

We will contact you prior to your excursion to confirm final numbers. It is important you are accurate as tickets (where applicable) will be invoiced to the school based on numbers.

Step 5.Invoice

You will receive an invoice for the ticket component of your excursion (where prices are applicable), and payment is due 2 weeks prior to your excursion.

Terms of booking, payment, cancellation and changes:

  • Bookings must be made a minimum of 2 weeks in advance of attendance
  • While every effort will be made to accommodate your nominated date, this may not always be possible
  • Cancellations must be made in writing
